“Let go and let God.” Nice little phrase.
Let go of what? Of structure, of tradition,
Of the need for predictability and control.
“Leave a little margin for God.”
Another fine word of advice.
Bullet-proof schedules ultimately will kill us.
Planning down to the last iota of time
Will leave us flat and exhausted.
Kaye, evangelist´s wife from Australia
Made a little comment that filled us with gratefulness.
“Being at this Bible School these days I’ve noticed
That you give place for the supernatural
In your everyday lives.
That´s why God has been able to use us among the students.”
Giving God space. Allowing Him the time,
The permission, the elbow room to act.
“Constricted” does not fit with “God.”
“Adapt to my schedule” clashes too.
Dante Gebel was with us for a service this week.
No one gave anything for Dante a while ago,
A skinny teenager with an imposing nose.
But he gave God space in his life. He started praying
And God told him he would pastor the youth of Argentina.
He had preached to three million face to face byhis 28th birthday.
Space and obedience.
God’s raw materials.
Recent graduate Nicolás Ferreyra gave God space.
From the time he was six
He has prayed and fasted with his family.
Unknown to most—known to God.
A revival has started in a section of Canada
Because Nicolás gave God space and obeyed.
This Saturday 20,000 young people
Are going out on the streets to preach.
They are connected in prayer and via internet
By one obedient Nicolás.
Seven nations are participating.
No budget needed.
Just God’s creative idea—
And space to hear it.
Last night we returned home at 2:30 A.M. after service.
Much worship. Much preaching.
Much seeking of God.
This morning’s prayer time at church
Lasted until 2:00 P.M.
People made time. Really.
Intercessor Dave Becker gave God some space
And came down for three days to let the students,
Churches and us know—
That the Harvest is huge.
And that God is going to stretch our faith like an inner tube
To match the need.
Give Him a little margin.
Why not give Him the whole page.
All the obedience for Him.
All the fruit for Him.
Lord, help me learn to give you space!
